App and Wireless Mobile Adapter Settings

When using the SnapBridge app to connect via Wi-Fi to cameras that support the Wireless Mobile Utility (WMU), you can adjust app and Wireless Mobile Adapter settings.

Adjusting Settings

1. Tap Settings in the tab.

   

2. Tap the desired item.

   Tapping items with toggle buttons toggles the setting on () and off ().

   

   Wireless Mobile Adapter Settings

   Tapping WMA Settings displays a list of settings for the Wireless Mobile Adapter. Tapping each setting further displays a list of items. Depending on the item selected, you may be required to enter text or choose an option from a list.

   

   

   Where text entry is required, tap the field in question and enter the desired text.

   

   To choose from a list, tap the desired option.

   

The Settings Menu

Auto Download (Wi-Fi)

Choose whether pictures are automatically downloaded to the smart device as they are taken. Pictures copied from the camera via auto download are imported at a size of 2 megapixels.

Clocks

Choose whether to set the camera clock to the time reported by the smart device.

Location Data

• Choose whether the smart device adds location data to photos downloaded from the camera. Enabling this option does not download location data to the camera; instead, the location is recorded directly to photo after it is copied to the smart device.
• If prompted to grant access to location data after enabling this option, follow the on-screen instructions.
• High-accuracy location data are used regardless of the option selected with the app.

WMA Settings

Adjust wireless LAN settings for the Wireless Mobile Adapter.

• This item is not available with cameras that have built-in wireless LAN.

WMA Info

View the camera link (connection) speed, serial number, and firmware version.

Wireless Mobile Adapter Settings

SSID

Choose an SSID for the Wireless Mobile Adapter. The smart device displays the SSID when you connect to the network manually.

Authentication/Encryption

Choose the authentication method used for connection to the network.

Password

Enter a password.

• The password type is selected using Advanced settings > Password entry. Choose ASCII for an 8- to 63-character alphanumeric password, HEX for a 64-digit hexadecimal password.

Channel

Choose the wireless channel used by the network.

Advanced Settings

WPS PIN: Set the Wireless Mobile Adapter WPS PIN.

WPS Mode: Select the Wireless Mobile Adapter WPS mode.

Password Entry: Choose the password type.

Sub-net Mask: Enter a sub-net mask.

DHCP Server IP Address: Enter the Wireless Mobile Adapter IP address.

DHCP Client IP Address: Enter the smart device IP address.

Current Settings

View the current values for WMA Settings.

Reset Settings

Tapping this option displays a confirmation dialog. Tap Yes to restore default settings.
